Original watercolor art inspired by the nests we build and the gardens we tend.
I'm Lindy. I began painting when tennis injuries and retirement collided, and discovered both the joy and the challenge of watercolor art. With the time freedom to simply play with the colors and water and learn how it flows on the paper, I found a long lost passion for creating.
The more I painted, the more I realized I was drawn to paint the flowers in my father's and grandparents' gardens. Memories returned of the first robins of spring, and how that meant watching for the crocus tips to emerge, followed by the tulips and daffodils and hyacinths. Eventually the roses would show some green and the peat moss could be pulled back to let the spring sun warm up the branches. When the rose buds bloomed in late May, summer was just around the corner in my backyard.
The Robin's Path was born of those memories that tie us to our childhood front porches and the gliders we swung on with grandma. Those times may be gone, but this art reminds us of that feeling of safety and comfort and joy we had, just following along behind the first robins of spring.
About the work
Every painting here is an original watercolor on cotton paper, painted by hand and one of a kind — never a reproduction. The cards, journals, coasters and other pieces carry those paintings printed onto them, so you can have a favorite in a form that travels.
